Job Description

Frontier Feedyard is 1 of 10 Cactus Feeders Feedyard locations based in Spearman, Texas. Our team is seeking a Shop Manager to serve as the Lead Mechanic within the Yard R&M Department. A good candidate for the role would be goal orientated, motivated, and skilled in the maintenance and repairs of vehicles/machinery.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere by all OSHA safety rules and regulations regarding shop operations and safety  
  • Inspect vehicles and machinery for maintenance and repairs (oil changes, tire care, etc.)
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties of the shop and upkeep feedyard facilities
  • Work in a timely and efficient manner  
  • Work in a fast-paced environment  
  • Manage the shop and Yard R&M employees
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Stand for 8-10 hours a day  
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs  

 

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience (preferred)
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt
    • Team player with the ability to communicate effectively with others
